"I bought this to replace a VHS recorder which died. I went straight for Panasonic to avoid any compatilbility issues with my TV, Skybox and Cinemasound dvd player, (all P/sonic) so I cannot comment on price/value/features etc., compared to other makes. All I wanted was something which would record TV programmes on a timer as the VHS used to do. So far, so good. Installed like a dream, very easy, and I am getting the recordings I wanted as above. So very pleased with it in that respect. I agree with others who say that the manual could be clearer, but it wouldn't put me off, knowing what I know now, and I'm no electronic engineer. The manual suggests that there are lots of other good features which I haven't looked into yet. Overall, yes, a good buy and I'm pleased with it. I'd buy the same again."
