6 Man tent starter pack 30 September 2009
By aabbott from West Sussex
Overall Rating 4 StarsGood

"This is a great 6 man tent, very roomy with space in the middle for late night chats. Each of the 3, 2 man pods face each other which is good because you can see your friends and family. The only downside is that on those cold nights the sleeping bags are not quite warm enough. I recommend wearing your thermals."

"We just came back from a supposedly 5-day-camping trip at the Westport but had to cut the days to 2 instead due to the tent "leaking & flooding"!! To say that we were disappointed and shocked with the purchase was an understatement as we read the review from the previous purchasers.
Not sure if any of them has encountered heavy downfall but that was what we got unfortunately! The rain started to leak, initially very little around the zipper, at the front of the entrance, sort of like a "sky-light" where we can roll up the flap.As the rain got heavier, more water just poured in through the same zipper and "flooded" the tent not the "rooms". We must admit though that the rest of the 3-bedrooms remained dry as the water stayed in the middle of the tent. Value for money is really the sleeping bags and the air-beds. We are all quite tall so we had to crouch and crawled into the tent everytime when we got in and out but that was not the issue here , if it doesn't leak we would have stay on for the full 5 days as planned! We were under the impression that tent normally do not leak and would not leak as we were told but obviously we were wrong!!"

"We only bought this tent due to the bigger one we wanted being out of stock everywhere. We bought this tent for our first ever camping trip with our 4 boys(aged 6-15),and it was good for us because it had everything needed to start.
The tent took about 20 minutes for my hubby to put up,with minimal help from 15 year old!
The tent was sturdy, and withstood some pretty windy conditions on our first night, however after that the weather was glorious sunshine so cant comment about rain i'm afraid!
The bedrooms were big enough to accomodate the airbeds, but little else.
The space in the middle wasn't a bad size, although impossible for all to sit in at the same time!
Also was tall enough for my 9 year old to stand up straight, but not myself 5'3 or hubby 6ft,but as we had the front of the tent open most of the time it didnt cause a problem.
The airbeds held up well, with only one single deflating slightly on day 3,but pumped back up and was fine. Also sleeping bags were good, and the kids loved them!
We will probably buy a bigger tent, only so everyone can stand comfortably and with there being 6 of us the space is an issue. However if we don't have one by next time are going, will have no doubts about using this tent again."
