"i do like buying the refills as they seem to last a lot longer and they don't let any smell out as i find normal nappy sacks seem to brake and let out smells"

Excellent Product 14 October 2009

"We've been using these a while. They are much better than the competition as you just tie off the end and drop the nappies inside the spring-loaded container unit so no smells escape. When the bag is full, you tie it off on the other end. There is no twisting of the bag between each nappy which wastes bag space and just untwists when you pull the nappies out for disposal. I wish we had one of these the first time around"

Stick to nappy bags! 15 September 2009

"We got the Angelcare nappy bin free with "Bounty", and we've had it now for over a year.

Honestly I don't believe it even comes close to living up to it's claims of being "Cost effective and environmentally friendlier".

The refills are extremely overpriced and by my calculations work out at least 6-7 times more costly than even the most expensive nappy bags.

What's more the environmental claims make false assumptions, as it fills up it pulls more plastic down and gets twisted meaning you end up with wasted space, also tying it off, throwing the end away because it always falls short, and not being able to recycle any of the packaging means that in my opinion it's far worse for the environment if anything.

The "effective odour barrier" is also rubbish, after a while the whole nappy bin starts to give off an unpleasant smell, and when emptying it you can't help but notice the strong smell.

If that weren't bad enough every so often you get one that won't unravel properly and you end up wasting a large proportion of it.

A nice idea but very very badly designed and not thought out at all.

If your buying it for convenience then maybe, just maybe, it's for you, if you care about the environment however or want to keep costs down then it's definitely best avoided!"
