"This kettle is terribly noisy, certainly doesnt fit the description of 'quiet boil'. my old kettle, which was approx 10yrs old was far better. I was swayed into buying it because it specifically said it was quiet."

"Generally a good kettle. The first time I used it i was impressed with the quiet boil feature. However, after that it seems to be as noisy as the average kettle, but that's ok. I guess you get what you pay for!"
