"Performs well with regard to:
Rapid boil, water very visible to judge amount, I like illumination feature, blue for stand by and red for boiling.
One problem is you can't switch illumination off except by the socket switch."

"Unfortunately returned this item as could not tell from the photograph or wording that it is gloss black and the toaster I bought to go with it is matt black. Wish they would include this in the description."

My Blue Lagoon Kettle 13 October 2009

"The blue illumination stays on even when the kettle is not in use / in standbye mode, we call it are Blue Lagoon Kettle, as it boils i like to watch the blue bubbles, ok it dosn't boil any faster that my old Kettle, but hey it makes tea in style."
