"This recorder really is the business.
Great price ( and i have looked in several big named stores) and Argos was the best*. The box is a great design in looks too which is a big selling point as some boxes of other makes look awful. If looks dont really bother you then this box is still great for the price, and the 160gb harddrive seems to be plenty for our familys needs. Also there is a little feature which is not mentioned anywhere i have seen, this being if you go into the program library on this recorder and scroll down through your saved programs you get a little thumbnail type tv screen showing you the program you recorded and not just a title like some others.
I have not tried TOPUP TV recording so i cant comment on diskspace for that, but that can be customised to suit your recording needs anyhow. Overall a highly recommended product , easy to use and looks great.

"Unable to record off SKY, the EPG feature is useless as it pops a description of a programme up over the enitre program guide. My memory % states only 53% even when nothing has been recorded. It keeps failing to record programs...avoid this product. May be sending mine back to Argos...will give it 2 more weeks.."

"I'm used to sky+ so I needed something very similar, this was cheap and cheerful and I am impressed with it, the first one I bought the blue button on the remote was faulty so had to take it back for a replacement and the new one works fine, the series link works for me so this is a massive bonus, hasn't missed recording an episode for me as yet."

"Bought for my mother. Worked well to start with but stopped working after 3 weeks. Helpline was very helpful and patient, even after three calls from my mother and myself. The outcome was it had failed and was replaced immediately by Argos when returned with receipt. Have yet to test again as mother using freeview through new tv at moment."
