"To be frank, I have been very disappointed. I am STILL reading the instruction book, only to be interrupted by a hospital visit. I do NOT want to contact Samsung yet, but amongst other things, slow channel changing, even slower guide information, am still trying to work out why I cannot change recording mode; above all as a niggle this model does not light up its window - so cannot tell time, cannot see if recording, rewinding etc!"

"This product does it all, but how do I find out how? The manual is full of jargon and not easy to follow. I had tried to setup but was unsuccesful so when the 'Digital Aerial' was installed the fitter set up the product!! But i still cant seem to record or work out the logic of its controls. I also have a 'Samsung'TV & both use 'Anynet', which i manage to disconnect and then have to reset. A quick handy user guide would be ideal.we also have 'Sky' which I seem to have deleted! Oh well back to the manual & a dose of patience. Would recomend the recorder."

"Average dvd recorder would have been the description as compared to top of the range dvd recorder (mention no name) on the market.
After a couple of days getting familiarised with the controls, functions etc, Decided to actually record some programmes. During playback of the aforementioned was very disappointed and dismayed that the synchronisation of the video and audio was out of sync. For this to be the case on a brand new machine to have a fault of this nature that makes playback unwatchable, beggers believe. At first it was hardly noticeable, but with time it got much worse. I can not say If this was a one off fault or If the technological teething problems of this model have yet to be sorted. If the latter Is the case this model was most certainly not ready for the market. As a result of our experience will never consider purchasing this make of machine again. Thus It Is relegated from a potential average review to a poor review."

"Took about two weeks to get to know how it works even looking at guide book. To programme a recording I found it slow to react., need plenty of time to set up. Digital guide very slow to go through and select. Some dvd's jump when being played. Overall though I found it to be good and enjoy watching recorded programmes which are good quality."
