"Bought this to replace my old one which was 'lost' when my son borrowed it for work. This one turned out to be better as it has a slow start ability which means you can work up to full speed when cutting which is a great help. Also when the cut is a bit tighter then you can edge the saw around more easily. It also has an extraction facility for the dust and the only thing I missed was the blade holder that came with my old one that fitted into the saw for storage. Apart from that - brilliant!"

"This was the first time I have bought or used a jig saw having realised I would need one to complete boarding a large loft where I had to lay 36 8' x 2' boards, so a lot of cutting required.
I used a circular saw to do the main cuts for length and width as I found the jigsaw struggled to make long straight cuts on the thick boards but it came into it's own when you needed to trim and cut pieces in situ.
Overall very pleased with the saw, only criticism is it would be better if Bosch included a dust collector like they do with their planes, The dust blower seems a bit ineffective and at the end of the job I found the saw blade had jammed in the holder and would not release until I gave it a good dose of WD40."

"Bought this in a bit of a hurry from Argos website and collected from store. It's a good bit of kit, I found it lite to work with and liked the clip in feature for the blades. Saved messing about with allen keys to fit or replace blade into power tool. It also has variable speed trigger switch so you can start slow and build up to fast once you get going. Its not the cheapest but then the cheaper ones are a lower watts and slower machines so for the price i would say it good value. It also comes with its own carry case. I wouldn't recommend it for every day use if used in your line of work you would probably need a more heavy duty machine but for DIY it will probably last you for years."
