Fish Bank

Fish bank is a fun way to save money! Quirky and interactive, fish bank creatively rewards you with cool animations each time you deposit a coin. Able to recognise all sterling coins, it automatically keeps track of the total amount of money deposited and you can even set a goal to reach so when the goal is met there is a payoff. Fish bank features an LCD screen with an interactive fish named Gill who will interact with the money and acquire items as the money is deposited. The more you save the more of Gill's world and the more features will be revealed. Requires 3 x AA batteries (included for try me purposes only). For ages 4 years and over. As seen on TV.

"This is a fun way for children to learn to save money as Gill will always show his appreciation when you feed him. You can set goals for how much you want to save and that then gives your child a purpose which mine enjoys. I suppose the only 2 drawbacks is (a) it doesn't take into account paper money, and (b) the price is a little steep. Overall though I would recommend this item."

"My 7yr old bought this out of his birthday money and I must admit, I didnt want him to as it isnt cheap... I now stand corrected, it was possibly the best thing he could have got and worth every penny.
It gives rewards when you put money in (different pics) and you unlock more bits of Gill's tank world as you fill up. They can set goals if they want to save for something or just watch the money add up, they also have to keep the tank clean and feed the fish etc... A1 product my 7yr old loves it as does my 3yr old.

"Bought this for my 4 yr old son. Looked great, sounded great and reviews I had read where all good. Realised within a few days of opening it, it doesn't always recognise the coins we put in. Big disappointment. Took it back for refund"

Review 16 for Fish Bank

very disappointed 14 January 2009
By Dawn from Lancashire
Overall Rating 1 Star Poor

"I bought this for my 9 year old for Christmas who was desperate for it after seeing a tv advert. It is very difficult to use, the different rooms are totally pointless and it has dollar signs in some of the graphics not pound signs which I find very irritating. The main purpose of this product is of course to count money, which it also doesn't do very well, although it does count in sterling not dollars. You can switch it on and it says one amount and the next time something different, despite not adding or removing coins. You can also add coins one at a time and it will total them up wrong in front of your eyes. I think it is very overpriced and needless to say unfortunately now in a cupboard! Don't bother!"
