" I purchased this airbed to use whilst waiting a week for my new bed to be delivered. After hearing mixed reviews, I did find most people saying it was really easy to inflate with the built in foot pump, and for the price I thought great! What a load of utter rubbish!!!!! After standing there for an hour and a half with my foot going up and down, it had next to no air in!! I would have literally been stood there all night!! As you cant return these airbeds once you have taken it out of the store, I had to go through customer service and explain that it was impossible to inflate without a battery powered or electric pump. I did manage to get it changed however, and I purchased the one with the battery powered pump that you slot in the side. This took less than 3 minutes to inflate, and was really easy to deflate, which I then stored in a vaccum pack for when friends come over! Brilliant!! I would definately reccomend an airbed as it was really comfy for the week, even though I had to re inflate a little every other day, but with battery pump it was no trouble. I would not reccomend this particular one with the built in foot pump, as it is a complete waste of money, and you may not be able to get a refund if you dont get an understanding person on customer service!! " Having been sleeping on it for the past 3 weeks and not had any problems, in fact very comfortable and the price is great.
If you are using it everyday you will need to top it up with some air every few days.

" Foot pump is not as complicated as they say.. it does not inflate easily. But after the 4th day it started to make funny plastic sounds as you would get from a pool bed or a baloon. Ideal for a holiday usage but don't expect too much "

Faulty and leaky!

" Worst air mattress I've ever slept on.
My boyfriend and I bought this mattress to sleep on for one night while we waited for our furniture to be delivered in our new apartment. Worst decision ever! The mattress was faulty - the seal was not attached properly, meaning that even when it was inflated and the stopper was put in, air was leaking out! After a couple of hours of trying to sleep on it, the mattress was flat as a pancake and we had to make do with the hardwood floor instead.
A terrible mattress - was returned to Argos for store credit immediately the following day.
If it wasn't faulty though, it would have been just what we needed, although I'd say the 'double' is smaller than a standard-size double bed. "

" Bought this whilst it was on on sale. It was for a festival. The bed was recommended by my friend omelette motson. I should have known better than to listen to him.
The beds in built pumping mechanism consists of covering a hole with your foot and pumping up and down. It's not very effective and would take an age to do.
You should bring a foot or electric pump and only use the in built solution as a last resort. I was never able to get the bed to fully inflate no matter how long I pumped it for. It was always semi soft like nimrod.
Main issue I had is that every morning I would wake up and the bed had deflated to the point that I could feel the ground. I am not especially overweight and haven't had this issue with past airbeds. Neither of my campmates bobot yayo and Gandalf, Gandalf the grey had any deflation of their matresses at all during the weekend.
I believe omelette motson did suffer the same as I but he wouldn't admit it. We both ended up throwing our matresses away after the festival. On the way home omelette went to the toilet 4 times and had McDonalds but there was no still fanta.

" when i read about this bed i thought it would be a lot less hassle than other inflatable beds having the pump built in but i was wrong it took almost an hour to blow up. it would be easier and about the same price to get a standard one and a pump that plugs in your car. "

Dbl Air Mat built in pump

" Have also purchased single size in past. Good price & quality. Built in foot pump is tricky to learn, as you need to cover with front/ball of foot (no shoes) on downward pump & lift foot slighty on upward return of pump, as it needs to bring in air for next pump action of foot. Inflates in under 10 mins. After first use you will notices minor deflation due to material stretching. Also tempatures and or changes can affect inflation. "

" Very good purchase, a lot of the other reviews said is a nightmare to pump up but it's fine to do and doesn't take long at all. Definitely recommend as cheaper than having to buy a separate air bed and pump and is just as good as other air beds. "

" There were concerns regarding the foot pump in the air bed in the reviews I went through before buying, but the foot pump works perfectly fine (fast enough) if one uses a bit of common sense in using it! The second major issue was deflation over a period of time. This is true to a certain extent, but not due to the air leak through the valve (rather due to the property of air, in the sense that it expands with temperature rising during inflation, probably due to friction encountered in forcing air against the valve...) Occasional refills solve the problem.
Lastly, I wasn't very happy about its size. It is more of a 1.5 bed rather than a double bed!!
In short it is a pretty decent alternative to sleep on (not for long though!).

" In built foot pump didnt work, after an hour of trying everything the bed was flat as a pancake and I had a blister on my foot.......we invested in an electric pump only to find the bed had a slow puncture.....we located the puncture and used the patch provided but as it was on the flocked side and not the pvc it didnt help much so we woke up deflated the next day.....not the usual argos quality :-( "

" Its an air bed and they're always a bother to inflate.
The idea of a pump built in really appealed to me.
But the pump is not great. The instructions aren't overly clear. The hole at the top of the bed needs to be open when inflating (strange i thought).
Other down point was it took sooo long to inflate, i think i could have blown it up nearly as quick.
To prevent it going down over night, put the white cap back in the air pump before screwing the top lid on.
It worked and overal the bed was comfortable. Couldnt live on it but will do great for the odd night.
