"Having only used the shredder a few times so far, it copes well with what I have fed into it, but I tend not to overload the machine in the hope it will give me many years of service. I have also purchased some of the Fellowes oil to hopefully extend its life."
"As long as you don't run this shredder for more than 2 - 3 minutes at one stretch, it will cope with an average work load, before it overheats and stops. It will restart after cooling but that can be time consuming. if you want a shredder that will cope with larger volumes, this is not the one for you but for day to day use of a small quantity of paper, it is perfect. Neat and efficient, it cross shreds which is great for disposal of personal documents."
"This Fellowes Shredder is ideal for the home. It is powerful enough to deal efficiently with confidential papers and the capacity ensures that it can be used without having to empty it after every session."
Cons - The shredded paper storage compartment (bucket) is flimsy and not solid plastic whilst the top is solid and heavy. It can be quite difficult to sit the solid top on the flimsy bottom and the shredder will not work unless seated properly.
As stated - It does the job for our personal items but wish I had invested in a more expensive model.
Not recommended for anyone with limited mobility in their hands."
"I bought this shredder for my parents who have little to shred but this machine is more than capable for their purpose. It appears reasonably quick a little noisy but aren't they all. All in all just what you would expect for a relatively cheap shredder."
"A great little worker and does what it says. I especially like the design of the top which allows you to lift it off really easily. I used the bag it came in to line the bin which makes emptying a doddle."
