"Good value for money
Item is generally ok quality, the finishing of the spinlock collars are a bit poor. The quality of the weights is good.
Grip is good but not that rough that you have to have gloves."

"Hi, bought these dumbbells a few back days and have been using them ever since.

They are nice built qlty for in-house use and are good value for money as well.

Advice: If you are making an in-store reservation, make sure that you are either on a car or have some way or carrying them back as they are obviously heavy. Also, they come packed in a cardboard box, so you cant hold them from the dumbbell bar for carriage, which makes it a bit difficult to carry them back home."

"Really pleased. after looking round everywhere for a starter set at a lower end price, these were the only ones I found and so glad I did.

Would highly recommend them. Not sure what the confusion is from other buyers regarding the weight printed on the box but ours said 20kg's and it contained 20kg."

"It was thanks to the previous Argos reviews that I decided to buy the Pro Power dumbells. What intially persuaded me was this model had metal things to hold the weights on whereas the other model by York had platstic ones. I also took the advice of the other reviewer and bought the York leather weighlifting gloves. Essential as the bar is rough metal almost like sandpaper. The weights themselves are perfect for at-home work-outs and I use them every day. I loved this model so much I bought another pair for my brother's Christmas pressie!"

"The set does not actually have 20 kgs as stated, but slightly less, although the packaging itself is labelled correctly. The set contains 2 bars and 3 sets of dumbbells (2x1.25kg; 2x1.5kg; and 2x1kg). The bars are just the right size, with rough surface, so they do not slide if a person gets sweaten during exercise. Dumbbels are easy to change if a different weight is required for different types of exercises. It is a good product for the right price."

"The box clearly states that the gross weight is only 19KG but other than that, these are great in that collars spin on and off easily and the weights are solid."

"Purchased these a couple of weeks ago and have been good value, I would suggest to buy some weight lifting gloves as my fingers got sore with the bar having a rough edge for grip. I purchased the york gloves and everything is fine now even better."
