"Didn't realise how tired my old shredder was until I bought this one. Does what it says. Shreds efficiently and without too much noise. Great value for the money. Ideal for the home or a small office"
"Read the good reviews for this shredder so bought one. I'd like to see it shred more than 3-4 sheets of "normal" paper and if it did manage this feat, it would be interesting to see if it could repeat the feat without breaking...I personally wouldn't shred more than one sheet at a time and not use if for extended periods. Having used it for around 10 mins an interesting smell is emitted that suggests you stop shredding and wait for it to cool down."
"Bout this machine to replace a strip cut shredder and really not impressed I shred a lot of need paper and card for compostin and although it good for card for the paper it clogs up readily and have to keep putting it in reverse and also ding it over heats very quickly I can do 2 black bags with the strip cut shredder and not a problem but found thus one it over heats so much that the thermal cut out happens about 4 times per bag I do a lot with it but not the best I used wouldn't buy another"
"This works as advertised. The only bit I don't like is the mesh bin that allows paper dust to escape (nothing serious), but it seems that you have to have one like this if you want a decent shredder these days. At least you can see when it needs emptying I guess. Had it not been for this I'd have given 5 stars (the minor markdown on noise level is more because of the actual sound it makes rather than the volume, but that's probably just a personal thing!)"
"I bought this recently to replace a previous shredder which gave up on me.
It works well; tend to shred 4 to 6 pieces of A4 at time as it sounds like it struggles when doing more. The bin is huge, much bigger than the old one. The only point I would make is when the last piece of paper has been shredded the motor seems to run on. It is only for a second or two but seems longer. Overall I think is good. Not used for CD or credit card yet. If you are thinking of buying you could do a lot worse!"
"Initially happy but product was faulty twice. The machine would not stop at the end of a piece of paper. I diagnosed the problem; start/stop micro-switch lever didn't return leading the machine to believe there was still paper in the slot. No problems with an exchange at my local store and the replacement arrived at my house the next day. HOWEVER - same manufacturing fault so at this point I gave up and elected for an alternative shop."
"I was going to buy an expensive replacement for my now defunct heavy duty model. Saw this could take 10 sheets at a time. Half the price of most next serious competitor. Even does CD,s Love it so much I call it Fred Get it??"
"Good solid manufacture. Sturdy and simple in use. Good that, even when switched on, the motor only runs when paper is actually being fed into the machine. Only drawback is the element to capture shredded CDs. This is fiddly to fit, has to be removed to empty the container (or else it falls into the rubbish bin) and the machine will not function without it. No doubt, with time, I'll get used to it. On the whole am very pleased with the machine"
